A few weeks back, I was lucky to be part of a group of bloggers who were invited to preview the new condo development by Bosa Properties.
One of the highlights of the event was a preview 3-course lunch of the new Black + Blue menu served by Glowbal’s Chef Ryan Gauthier.
The first course was the Chop Salad with avocado, tomatoes, kale and cucumber in a creamy chive dressing and topped with aged parmesan cheese.
Each course was paired with some terrific wines, like this Martin’s Lane 2012 Viognier.
With intense aromas of orange rind, apricot, ginger, honey and fresh-cut flowers, this was a perfect pairing for this next dish – The tuna screamer
A nice mix of ponzu sauce, serrano chillies, and daikon tobiko, this dish is one I would definitely order at Black + Blue.
Our main course was the Hunters Pasta with lamb instead of short rib. Fettucine noodles, pine nuts, wild mushrooms, tomatoes, and garlic.
It was paired with an excellent 2009 Cesari Mara Ripasso.
Black + Blue will be hosting a new year’s gala menu on December 31st. Tickets are $100. Check out the menu here.
